  1. Hmmm, does anyone know what day it is today? PI day, for one…. But, it’s also MY birthday!….

  2. That’s right… • So, before we start celebrating PI day, let me first tell ya’ a lil’ somethang ‘bout myself! • I was born in 1879, and well, that makes me a little bit older than most of you…including Mr. V! In fact, there’s your first question…how many candles should be put on the birthday cake?

  3. Some more stories to tell… He died in 1955, after receiving many international awards (including the Nobel Prize) and urging all nations to abandon nuclear weapons. Albert Einstein’s work ranged from the smallest of scientific parts (the atom) to the largest (the universe!) If it wasn’t for the fact Einstein failed an entrance exam into an Electrical Technical College, he might not have made such an impact on history…Failure can lead to success! Later on in his life, Albert Einstein moved to the US, obtaining both US citizenship and retaining his Swiss citizenship. It was actually Einstein who answered the question, “Why is the sky blue?” Ultimately, Einstein attended a college and became a MATH TEACHER!!! (and a science one too!)…finally leaving to work in a patent office, where he spent most of his free time teaching himself!

  4. Here are some things I have been quoted as saying… The truth of a theory is in your mind, not in your eyes. If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it. The search for truth is more precious than its possession . Education is that which remains when one has forgotten everything learned in school. But there is another reason for the high repute of mathematics: it is mathematics that offers the exact natural sciences a certain measure of security which, without mathematics, they could not attain. (Are you listening Mrs. Berthiaume???) The world needs heroes and it’s better they be harmless men like me than villains like Hitler.

  5. But don’t forget what I am most famous for… E=mc² (energy = the weight of an object times the speed of light²)

  6. So, when you remember PI day, don’t forget it’s my Birthday too!
