ROLESANDRESPONSIBILITIES SHPE Foundation • Oversee the NAVSEA Noches de Ciencias and the NAVSEA SHPE Jr. Chapter Implementation • Provide guidelines under which these programs will be carried out • Support targeted NAVSEA SHPE Host Chapters • Compile reports from Host Chapters and submit required reports for NAVSEA grant

ROLESANDRESPONSIBILITIES Hosting SHPE Chapter • Each sponsoring student or professional chapter must elect a representative to the SHPE Jr. Chapter • The responsibilities of representative are: • Directly oversee the SHPE Jr. Chapter • Initiate and maintain contact with high school administrators for chapter activity continuity • Identify a member of the high school faculty to serve as the SHPE Jr. Chapter Advisor • Follow all national guidelines to file SHPE Jr. Chapter charters

ROLESANDRESPONSIBILITIES Hosting SHPE Chapter • Establish a SHPE Jr. Committee to assist with programs and to serve as role models for SHPE Jr. members • Disseminate information to chapter members • Fellow chapter members • Surrounding chapters • Submit the SHPE Jr. Chapter Report to the SHPE Foundation

ROLESANDRESPONSIBILITIES SHPE Jr. Chapter Advisor • Work with SHPE Host Chapter to implement the Noches de Ciencias and the SHPE Jr. Chapter • Help recruit students for the SHPE Jr. Chapter • Meet with SHPE Host Chapter and SHPE Jr. Chapter 4 hours per month at high school • Provide SHPE Host Chapter with academic grades for SHPE Jr. Chapter members each semester • Serve as a liaison between the high school and the SHPE Host Chapter

ROLESANDRESPONSIBILITIES RVP’s and RSR’s • Conduct regular tag-up meetings with Host Chapters to discuss logistics for the Noches de Ciencias and the SHPE Jr. Chapter implementation • Connect with Host Chapters 1 -2 weeks prior to all deliverables to ensure timely submission • Follow up with Host Chapters not meeting timeline • Communicate highlights or concerns to the Foundation Program Manager
