  2. Military Grids (4 digit) • The 4 digit Military Grid is similar to the alpha numeric grid. A grid is used but it has numbers on both sides instead of letters and numbers. • To read the grid you follow the 3 R’s: • READ RIGHT • READ UP 9294 9194 9193 9293 Read Up Read Right

  3. Military Grids (6 digit) • 6 digit Military Grids provide an exact location. They are specific just like latitude and longitude. • They are more specific because they break the grid up into 10 sections in both directions. • We know the church is in the grid 91_94_ , but what numbers go in the blanks? Read Right 91 __ Read Up 94__ 5 4 So the church is at 915944.
