  1. Welcome to W8TN’s Home Page This is my first attempt at designing an internet Home Page so please bear with me. W8TN’s Home Page Biography EME Station Evelyn Favorite Sites to Visit Send E-mail

  2. Biography of W8TN I have been a ham radio operator since 1964. Previous calls held: WN8OQJ, WA8UUY, AA8UUY As an avid DX’er I have operated from 5 different DX locations (personally making over 1,000 QSO’s from each location) under the following calls: W8TN/6Y5, ZF2EK, W8TN/VP9, XX9TN, FO0XX (‘85) I am on the DXCC Honor Roll (SSB) and hold WAS on 50 MHz.

  3. EME Station My current interests lie in the EME (Earth-Moon-Earth) field. I have done a small amount of 2-M EME in the early 1980’s and some 432 MHz. EME in the mid-’90’s (74 initials using four 25-L K1FO yagis.) At present I am not QRV on the moon. However, I have all the hardware for 2-M EME with four K1FO 15-L yagis and an 8877 plus most of the hardware for 16 rear-mount (polarity control) K1FO 15-L yagis with a Lunar-Link amp (2x3CX800A7’s.) On 1296 I have 99% of the hardware to operate with a pair of 7289’s and a Scientific Atlanta 5.1 Meter solid dish (see picture at left.) Lots of work still to do as I do NOT have a hamshack at present and I may be moving again (hopefully to a better ham radio location.) I will be working first on getting on 1296 and then on 2-M EME and finally on 432. Once I do become EME capable again, I plan to seriously operate EME on all three bands above and move into the higher bands as well. (I just acquired a 7.7 watt TWT for 10GHz!)

  4. Evelyn Here is my girlfriend (fiancée) Evelyn F. Kimberling. Evelyn is a Registered Dietician who works for a 98-bed convalescent and rehabilitation center. Evelyn has two sons, David, 30, and Darren, 28, both single and looking! Evelyn and I are planning to attend the EME Conference in Paris in August, 1998.
