  3. Vocabulary! • Elimination: • The use of addition or subtraction to eliminate one variable and solve a system of equations.

  5. Coefficients *When the coefficients of a variable are the same, subtracting, the equations will eliminate the variable. When the coefficients are opposites, adding the equations will eliminate the variable.

  6. Homework! • Page 351 – 352 (2 – 22 even).
