    4. Thailand Dentist:Population 2005 The dentist population ratio is less than one thousand five hundred in Bangkok. While the highest population to one dentist is highest in the Northeastern part of Thailand.The dentist population ratio is less than one thousand five hundred in Bangkok. Standard dental curriculum structure for Thailand 6 years after high school, equivalent to the medical curriculum first year courses are mostly general education next one and a half year is emphasized on basic medical sciences another one and a half year for basic oral sciences and preclinical dental courses fifth year curriculum will be mainly clinical practice in all areas of dentistry final year is similar to vocational clinical training

Community Dentistry: History of dentistry, roles and responsibilities of dentist to patient, family, community, professional peers and society; expectation from profession to community and society; principle of professional communications, fundamental administration and human relationship among dental and health professions

Health Promotion: Principles of self care across the life spans, oral health promotion and illness prevention for self and family care; influences of environment, basic knowledge and technique for oral health promotion related to behavioral science, humanity, bio-social science and epidemiology; individual, family and community oral health promotion strategies and evaluations; practicum on oral health promotion across life spans in a family setting

    17. Family Dentistry: Definition of oral epidemiology, principles of epidemiologic methods, disease and disorder measurement, natural history of the disease and occurrence related to their determinants as well as epidemiology of oral disease and disorders in a family setting, oral diseases and prevention related to family relation

    18. School Oral Health: Practice in school oral health project, interrelationship between school and family, study and collect data in school setting; planning and implementation oral health promotion programme based on the related situation and problem analysis including programme evaluation and report

    19. Field Community Dentistry: Field practice in application of dental public health science at the community level, provision of first-hand exposure to practicing dentistry in community hospitals under the supervision of the local trained dentists; survey, plan and implement community campaign, health promotion and oral health care for the population with participatory approach

    20. Field Hospital Dentistry: Clinical practice in oral health delivery in general hospital setting under supervision of the hospital dental personnel including oral health care delivery and administration; referral system of inpatient and outpatient; preparation of medical compromised patient prior to oral care including referral and interpretation of laboratory examination

    21. Community-based Dental Curriculum: familiar the dental students with the community from the beginning of the 2nd year field work at the grass root level to get first hand information about the general health and problem of the people solve the oral health problem of the family and community through health promotion plan and provide both clinical and preventive care to the local school children virtual life practice at the local hospitals, clinics in the final year under the supervision of the trained local dentists

    22. Community-based Dental Curriculum: Summary trained local dentists at public community hospitals and/or health centers scarcity in recruitment dental faculty prepare graduated dentists to work at the community level sustainably better serve the rural community solve the distribution problem through proper dental education in the country
