  4. MMY - Score Index • Index to all the scores generated by the test • Definitions of variables the test author is trying to measure

  5. MMY - Name Index • “Horton, A.: test, 78” = Author of test • “Horton, A.: rev, 86” = Test reviewer • “Horton, A.: ref, 45” = Name of person referenced in review

  6. MMY – Publishers Directory • Provides: • Address • Phone • Fax • Web address • Email address

  7. MMY – Subject Index • 18 categories listed on 1st page of subject index • Sample subjects: achievement, behavior assessment, education, mathematics, sensory-motor, vocations, etc.

  8. MMY – Acronym Index • Use this index if the test is better known by the acronym then the test title • Example: GRE=Graduate Record Examination

  9. MMY – Title Index • N in parenthesis after the test number indicates the test is new or recently published, and/or that it has not appeared before in any Buros Institute Publication • R indicates that the test has been revised or supplemented since last included in a Buros publication

Tests in Print (TIP) • Each volume is comprehensive (TIP V supersedes TIP IV), describing every test that is currently available • Necessary to have entire MMY series to find review of a test, only need latest volume of TIP series for comprehensive coverage • ALL test numbers refer to test entry numbers, NOT page numbers • Example: Academic Proficiency Battery, 12 • Similar MMY indexes except:

TIP – Title Index • Numbers without colons refer to in-print tests included in TIP V • Example: Academic Proficiency Battery, 12 can be found in TIP V test number 12 • Numbers with colons refer to out of print tests not listed in this volume. Readers are referred to the last volume listing the tests: • T4: 1826 refers to test 1826 in Tests in Print IV • 12:399 refers to test 399 in the 12th MMY

  15. TIP – Index of Recently Out-Of-Print Tests • Listings of tests that appeared in TIP IV, 12th MMY, and/or 13th MMY, but no longer appear in TIP V because tests are now out of print

TIP – Subject Index • Use the acronym index if the test is better known by the acronym then the test title • 19 categories listed on 1st page of subject index • Sample subjects: achievement, behavior assessment, developmental education, miscellaneous (16 subcategories), personality, reading, etc.
