Substance Abuse Prevention Program and Contract Oversight • Oversaw 23 Programs & 17 Community Initiatives • Byrne/JAG -11 Agencies = 3,570 youth & adults impacted • Partnership for a Healthy & Drug Free Broward -12 Agencies = almost 17,000 youth & adults impacted • STOP – “alcohol free youth zones” – 17 zones impacting 1,000 youth & adults

  17. What Opportunities Lie Ahead For the Board of Governor’s in 2012-2013? Continued involved in S-PATs & SCs Healthcare Prevention (Think Tank) and ACA – Commission’s Future Managing Entity of Broward County – Advocacy and Participation as this Continues to Develop “A SOCIETY GROWS GREAT WHEN OLD MEN & WOMEN PLANT TREES WHOSE SHADE THEY KNOW THEY SHALL NEVER SIT IN”
