  2. CYO - Mission The CYO is committed to providing a ministry of information that helps bring youth to their full human potential. The CYO provides opportunities for young people to develop strong moral character, self-esteem and leadership qualities through activities of a social, educational, recreational and athletic nature.

OLMC • Mission of the OLMC Athletic Department: • to provide a Catholic sports environment for physical, mental, and spiritual growth for the participants through athletics • OLMC Athletics is dedicated to bringing all athletes and their families the best Catholic sponsored sporting events possible.

  6. 2013 OLMC 3-4 Football 31 3rd and 4th graders registered Combine grades, two teams with the same number of players from each grade Jeff Hamilton to coach both teams Two staffs under Coach Hamilton Practice together, play separate games Compete in the mixed 3-4 league

  7. 34 League 1. Weight Categories: A. Up to and including 90 pounds (non-striper). B. Above 90 pounds up to and including 120 pounds (two striper). C. Above 120 pounds (three striper). 2. Two Striper Restrictions: A. Not permitted to play in the offensive backfield or end positions. B. May not advance the football following an interception, fumble recovery or receiving a kick. 3. Two Striper Positions: A. Permitted to play any position on defense. B. Restricted to the center, guard or tackle positions on offense. C. May be positioned behind the line of scrimmage on offense only if attempting a punt or place kick. If the kick is not attempted, the ball becomes dead. 4. Three Striper Positions: A. On defense, restricted to down lineman position along the line of scrimmage. B. May play center, guard or tackle on offense. C. May be positioned behind the line of scrimmage on offense only if attempting to punt or place kick. If the kick is not attempted, the ball becomes dead. 5. Three Striper Restrictions A. Three stripers may not line up in the offensive backfield, offensive end, linebacker, defensive secondary positions or at a defensive position on the line of scrimmage wider than the outside shoulder of the offensive tackle. In the absence of an offensive tackle the player may not line up wider than where the offensive tackle would normally line up. B. May not advance the football following an interception, fumble recovery or receiving a kick.

  11. The “Eaton” Rule • If you have any question about your son’s position or playing time…… • I ask that you come to practice for an entire week, observe practice. The entire team, along with your son • At the end of the week we will have a conference to discuss your son’s position and playing time • If we are not able to satisfy your concern you can take it to • David Blackburn / Andy Brown – Football Commissioner • Tim Fletcher – OLMC Athletic Director

Coach Blackburn’s Key football thoughts • Team greater than the individual • Tough hard nosed play with class • Knock your opponent down, and then help him up • HEART • Winning is a consequence of preparation, conditioning, and proper technique • Scheme is secondary • Play to win • Not at all cost • Players play, Coaches coach, Referees officiate, and Parents support everyone • Sportsmanship is a priority from the top down • Follow the letter of the law, and the spirit of the law
