  4. About Entrez Entrez是一Web-base檢索系統，用以檢索下圖所示各資料庫，只要從 其中一個資料庫出發，可在檢索結果中進行相關資料庫的檢索。

  5. Introduction—Boolean Logic • PubMed接受AND、OR、NOT布林邏輯語法，欲使用布林邏輯語法，AND、OR、NOT需大寫。 • 欲同時使用兩個以上的布林語法，如：common cold AND (vitamin c OR zinc)，括弧中的主題概念之組合將先被運算後視為一個概念，再與括弧外的主題概念進行運算。

  6. PubMed Searching • 輸入查詢詞彙，按Go或Enter • Summary format: • Author name(s) • Title • Source • Tag • Identification number • Links

  7. Search Field • 正確格式：限制詞在檢索詞之後—aromatherapy [mh] • Mesh Headings→[mh] • Text Words→[tw] • Journal Name；ISSN →[ta] • Author→[au]

  8. Search Skills • 作者檢索：查詢時輸入形式為： 姓 名字的首字縮寫，不加標點符號，例如：smith ja [au] • 期刊名檢索：不論是輸入期刊名的全稱、縮寫或是ISSN，對系統而言，皆是對應到刊名檢索，例如：new England journal of medicine，其意義同N Engl J Med [ta] • 詞彙檢索：single cell vs. “single cell” • 切截：以*作為切截符號，如：librar* • 布林邏輯

  10. Feature Bar -Limit 使用者可設定查詢的欄位、附摘要的文獻、出版品的類型、 語文、主題類別、研究對象年齡層、研究對象、性別、系 統最近更新時間、出版時間等。

  11. Feature Bar–Preview/Index • 可預覽先前檢索結果之筆數，並決定是否要修正檢索策略，如不修正亦可從筆數值接連至檢索結果。 • 亦可在Add Term(s) to Query or View Index輸入詞彙預覽檢索結果，或是按下Index，但各欄位中該詞出現的資料比數，並選擇AND、OR、NOT加入原有的檢索策略中進行檢索。

  12. Feature Bar–History 每次檢索步驟，系統都會產生一個檢索號碼，本區可看到所有的檢索 步驟歷史紀錄，如要運用先前檢索的策略，可直接輸入檢索號碼並以 布林邏輯加以運算，如：#1 AND #5。但此紀錄在系統未運作一小時 後將被系統消除。
