ADULT VIEW • Discovering their identities- teenagers come to a point where they are trying to figure out who they are and this causes them to try out different identities until they find one that they are comfortable with. • Independence- the teenage years are a constant struggle with dependence and independence, most teens want to start doing things for themselves and become rebellious because of that fact. • Hormonal changes- with the changing hormones, teens experience a variety of mood changes which causes them to act out in rebellious ways. • Peer pressure- teens start to feel pressure from their peers which can lead them to start acting out in destructive ways. WHY DO TEENAGERS REBEL?
