  1. FOR The Remarkable Radio Road Rally

  2. What is Road & Tracks II ? On Saturday, September 28th, WPKN , 89.5 FM and www.wpkn.org , will present the second annual “Road & Tracks” celebration at Dragone Classic Motorcars, a gallery full of beautiful vintage and performance automobiles in Westport, CT. This year, in addition to a celebration marking our 50th year of continuous broadcasting, the event will also include a day-long, 150 mile “Remarkable Radio Road Rally”.

The Remarkable Road Rally Administered by a professional Rally Master, this will be a TSD (time, speed, distance) rally that will have up to one hundred vehicles vying to cover a multi-state course within a specified time frame. The Remarkable Road Rally begins and end in Westport, and kicks off at 9:30 AM as part of a live broadcast of WPKN’s “The Car Bob Show”, featuring the station’s automotive experts. The course is approximately 150 miles long and will be using both paved and unpaved (non-car breaking) roads. An awards ceremony follows the rally’s end at 4 PM, with trophies being awarded for several categories at Dragone’s gallery.

  4. The Evening Celebration To Commemorate WPKN’s 50th Anniversary Once the tire smoke clears, it’s on to the gala event, Road & Tracks II. Surrounded by incredibly beautiful collectible vintage and performance automobiles in the Dragone’s showroom. The event will feature live Classic Jazz, food by Nicholas Roberts Gourmet Bistro, wine from Fountainhead Wine and Distillations, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. There will also be surprise guests and a silent auction.

Why Support Road & Tracks II • Proceeds from this event will benefit “KEYS: Kids Empowered by Your Support.” and WPKN radio (www.wpkn.org ). • WPKN is proud to support this organization (www.keysmusic.org) whose mission is to bring one-to-one instrument lessons and group music instruction to under-served inner-city children in Bridgeport, CT.
