  2. 1: In What Ways Does Your Media Product Use, Develop or Challenge Forms and Conventions of Real Media Products For my magazine title I have used ‘HM Music’ which means Hot Music. I have chosen this title because in my opinion it sounds good for teenagers and my target audience is for teenagers. I have used a black writing and red background for my logo so that it is eye catchy. I have used only 3 colours in my magazine because most popular magazines don’t use more than 3 colours as if you use more than 3 it looks like the magazine is for small kids. The target audience for my magazine are teenagers between 15-19 years old.

  3. Front cover On my front cover I took a picture of my friend who looks like he is rapping to the camera. He is looking at the camera so that is makes the reader more interested in the magazine. I am sure you have realised before that most of the people on the front pages of the popular magazines are looking straight . I chosen black background for the magazine so that all texts and details looks clear. ‘’BenjiCrossley’’ writing is in bright green colour so that everyone looks at it first, I chosen this colour because its about the main star of the magazine. I also wrote information's like what's inside the magazine so that people are more interested. The front cover also contains price and barcode like every single magazine. I have used for different types of fonts so that the magazine is not boring.

  4. Contents page My magazine contents page is in the same style and my front page. I have used the same colours. There is a big Title on the top saying ‘Contents’ and next to it there is my magazine logo. Underneath my Contents title and logo there are pages list on the left and pictures on the right. On the bottom of the page there is an advert for subscribing my magazine. On the red layer there is also screenshot of my front page. It also tells that the people who will subscribe it will know the best news first before every one else.

  5. Double page spread For my double page spread I have done in review with my friend who is on the pictures on the right hand side of the double page spread. On the double page spread I have used 3 colours- purple, green and white (not counting logo). For the main title I have used purple and for a little starting paragraph I have used bright green. I also have used green for the question numbers so that it is easy to realise when you are on the other question. On the left hand side of the magazine on the top there is logo and title, underneath there is introduction to the interview and under it there is interview. On the bottom of the page there are pages to follow or like- Twitter, YouTube and Facebook. On the next page, right hand side on the picture, I have putted a pictures of my friend made by me showing different shots of him rapping. I have inserted pictures because I thing magazines with pictures are more interesting than the ones without the pictures.

  6. Choosing font and style Here is a screenshot of my first steps in making my magazine. The screenshot on the right side shows different types of my magazine title. I did it to choose the best title style for my magazine so that my magazine would look good. That’s the 3 best looking one which I was left with. I have chosen the one on the top because in my opinion it is the best looking one.

  7. Heysham high magazine analysis This is the first magazine which I have done at the beginning of the school year . As you can see it is completely different than my Music magazine as when I made this magazine I didn’t know much about making my own magazine. After my teacher gave me some tips I have done big improvements on the music magazine by using different program for example.

  8. Mojo cover This is one of the first tasks that I have been as ask to do to learn about magazines. My teacher gave my a picture of the Mojo cover and told me to do the copy of it. I took a picture of my friends and I have done everything by my self (picture on the right). It was a challenge to do because there I had to find the same fonts out of 100. I have tried my best but there still lots of things to improve to make it the same.
