  2. Question 1 The title sequence is very important as I put in my Establishing shots in the background to let the audience know where the scenes are taking place. Also it lets the audience know the members names that help in the making of the film. There may be a music in the background to help. Our challenge was to make the title sequence appealing to the audience, so what we did was we made sure that we the played recognizable music in the background with while the title sequence was running.

  3. Question 2The genre of our film is British thriller, the film focuses on a anti stereotypical relationships between teachers being obsessed with children. film is fictional but very realistic and quite social. The locations used were typical working class primary schools and offices, also we tried to use ordinary locations like high streets that visibly show a classic convention of realism that it takes place in a deprived town. We tried looking at locations which would help us in this particular objective. The open shot was establishing shot and that is one of the most important shots in the opening as it sets up the scene and the place where most of the movie will take place. I think this worked well as it is quite a anti stereotypical place to be in within a thriller. Also we try representing particular social grouping by making our film dark and grey to make the character seem more creepy and controlling, also the colour grey would help represent the main character.

  4. Question 3 I think that independent companies will distribute our media product as our Movie is not a mainstream movie. It is based on a Teacher who kidnaps children so the primary targets are very specific. However our film is based and made in England so we may it may be funded by The National Lottery. A distribution company that would be suited to distribute this Movie would be Pathe Pictures International as there are known for distributing English films like Adulthood.

  5. Question 4 Our Primary target would be Adults and Teachers as the film suited for people like that and in that age group that is over 18+. However because this Movie isn't a mainstream Movie we try to make sure we can get the most people watching this Movie as possible, so our secondary audience is 18-15 year olds. Also we made sure that we stuck to the BBFC 15 Classification so the Movie will be a 15. Therefore more people can watch it leading to more profit. The main genre is a thriller and the sub genre is a psychological thriller because the Movie makes you think and it creates an enigma

  6. Question 5 We tried to attract our audience by making the movie a Psychological thriller and by making people think. Our Move is a twist between Inception and Orphan . Also we would use anti -stereotypes like the protagonist who is a detective is played by a woman. When peers watched the opening the thought it was good however we needed to make it a bit more interesting and more appealing . However they wasn’t able to decode the message with implied so I think on that basis is was successful.

  7. Question 6&7 I learnt how to use particular technologies that help me with Media studies. I learnt how to create and use a blog, this was important as we were getting marked from our blog, so I had to make sure that I updated it regularly. I learnt how to us Final Cut Software a lot for editing as I was the editor, teachers in particular helped me with this software. Overall these particular technologies helped me in numerous ways with out these technologies the final end product wouldn’t be satisfactory and it wouldn’t look professional.
