  5. Treatment Wide Local Excision Complete removal of breast lesion with a margin of normal appearing breast tissue 4cm in diameter Circumareolar incisions through subareolar and centrally located breast lesion Radial incisions in the upper half of the breast are not recommended

  6. Treatment After excision – sent for histopath. Additional margins (superior, inferior, medial, lateral, superficial, and deep) Electrocautery or absorbable ligatures Wound drainage is avoided Excisional biopsy with needle localization Mammography for placement of wire Specimen radiography
