  8. Review and Preview • Top half of left side of notebook. • Usually a writing prompt. • Answers not taken for a grade. • Tool to gauge what students know and think.

  9. Let’s Try! • What do you think the word injustice means? • You will be given a prompt. • Take a few minutes to write what you think • about the question. • Only write on the top half of the paper. • If you finish early, decorate around RAP section.

  11. Words of Wisdom • Bottom half of left side of notebook. • Used to strengthen vocabulary.

  12. Let’s Try! • Take a folded pocket. • Glue or staple pocket to the WOW section.

  13. Let’s Try! • Create vocabulary cards for each word: • Target • Ally • Perpetrator • Bystander • Write word on front of card. • Draw a picture or example of vocabulary word. • Make sure to use color. • If finished early, decorate around Wow section.

  15. Very Important Points • The whole right side of notebook. • Can be notes, handouts, drawings, ect.

  16. Let’s Try! • On provided star paper, write a story about an injustice. • Include a target, ally, perpetrator, and bystander. • If finish early, draw an illustration of your story.
