  2. Agenda • What are the employment tests? • Why would one take the six tests? • How could an individual use these test results now, and in the future?

  3. Rationale • Knowing our strengths and weaknesses can help direct us when we are in school, looking for a job, or seeking a better life for ourselves. • The tests give us a starting point for new knowledge building in reading, writing and math.

  4. Employment Test Assignment • You are required to complete one test under each subject: Basic Arithmetic, Clerical, Data I, Data II, Reading, Writing • Once you complete the test, you will copy the results onto the bottom of this chart document and record your score.

  5. Directions • Open the Employment Test Scores (ETS)in the dropbox or FAA folder on your desktop • Save the ETS on desktop as last name, ETS • Log onto http://dhrdcap.co.la.ca.us/olt/index.cfm?fuseaction=general.selectTestType You must use Internet Explorer to complete the tests-it will not work on Chrome or Firefox

  6. Directions Cont. • Select a test, • Select 1, 2, or 3, click next • Click I have read and understand these instructions, then click take test • Scroll down to the bottom and click Skip • Begin the test • When you are finished, your results will be displayed in a chart. You MUST copy this and paste it at the bottom of the ETS chart as proof of taking the test Save this and email it to class email
