Group: parking management MEPS 2009 Siófok PARKOLÁSI IGÉNYEK SIÓFOKON /Parking situation in Siófok • A lakók és a környékbeliek a belvárosban dolgoznak, ezért ott akarják elhelyezni az autóikat / The inhabitants of the region work in the city center so, they leave there their cars, anyway the demand of parking increases on summer due to the tourists. • A turisták nyáron a balatoni strandokra mennek, ahhoz minél közelebbi parkolással / The tourists want to park as near as possible to the beach, so the park demand near the Balaton extremely increases in summer.

Group: parking management MEPS 2009 Siófok PROBLÉMÁK /Problems • 25000 lakos igénye szemben a kb. 100000 turistáéval / The population increases from 25000 in winter to 100000 in summer. • Különösen a Balaton partján sok a konfliktus a nyaraló-tulajdonosok és a fürdőzők között, mert nem lehet szabad parkolót találni, az autók elállják a bejáratokat / Because of the important amount of traffic in summer, it is very difficult to find a place to park near the Balaton. This causes a lot of conflicts between the owners of the cottages and the drivers. • A s parkolói nagyon zsúfoltak, ha megtelnek, sok a szabálytalan parkolás / The parking places of the downtown are very crowded. When they are full, drivers park in illegal forms.

Group: parking management MEPS 2009 Siófok A nyári szezonon kívül is problémát jelent a kórház környéki parkolás, a sok hosszú időre otthagyott autó miatt / Out of the summer season it is also a problem the situation near the hospital. The zone is often overcrowded because of the longtime parking cars from people working on the neighborhood. Hasonló okok miatt a reggeli órákban a Kele utcai parkoló is bedugul az általános iskolánál / Because of the same reasons, the parking in the School is also overcrowded in the morning hours.

Group: parking management MEPS 2009 Siófok • ALAPELVEK / Main Ideas • A belvárosba minél kevesebb autó hajtson be / There should be less cars in the downtown area. • A rövid és a hosszú idejű parkolás szétválasztása / The short-time and long-time parking should be separated. • A rövid idejű parkolás előnyben részesítése a belvárosban / In the downtown there should only be short-time parking. • Nyári szezonban a forgalom radikális csökkentése a strandok környékén/ In the summer season there should be less car traffic on the lakeside. • A turisták számára alternatív gépjármű-elhelyezési lehetőség biztosítása/ There should be an alternative long-time parking for the tourists.

A possible section would be as seen in the picture. • A hosszú idejű parkolás a belvároson kívüli helyeken történik elsősorban / The long-time parking is mostly outside the downtown.

Group: parking management MEPS 2009 Siófok JAVASLAT NÉHÁNY KONKRÉT PROBLÉMÁRA / Solutions to other local problems Kórház / Hospital: P+H táblák kihelyezése “Behajtás csak a kórházba érkezők számára” kiegészítő szöveggel /P+H tables with the “Parking only for the hospital” should avoid other parkers Iskola / School: Néhány parkolóhelyre “Várakozni tilos” jel felfestése ( “Kiss & Ride” rendszer). Itt tudják a szülők kitenni ill. felvenni a gyerekeket / Paint the parking sign at the parking near the school (Kiss & Ride system ), so the parents can let and pick up their children fast.

Group: parking management MEPS 2009 Siófok VÁRHATÓ HATÁSOK/ Expected results • A Balaton-parton a gyalogos és kerékpáros közlekedés előtérbe kerülése/ On the lakeside there would be more bicycles and pedestrians. • Nyáron kevesebb gépjármű a strandok környékén / In summer there would be less cars near the beaches. • A P+R parkolók miatt kisebb forgalom a városban, kevesebb dugó / Because of the P+R parking less people would park on the downtown. • A belvárosban várhatóan a rövid idejű parkolás lesz a jellemző / In the downtown there will be more short-time parking. • A kórháznál és az iskolánál csökken a zsúfoltság / The parking at the hospital and the school would be less crowded.
