  12. TURN OFF LIGHTS AND AUDIO EQUIPMENT STAY CALM AND BE AS QUIET AS POSSIBLE STAY AWAY FROM THE WINDOWS IF YOU ARE CAUGHT IN AN OPEN AREA SUCH AS A HALLWAY OR LOUNGE YOU MUST DECIDE WHAT ACTION TO TAKE.

  13. IF YOU TRY TO HIDE MAKE SURE THAT YOU CHOOSE A WELL HIDDEN SPACE IF YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN MAKE IT OUT OF THE BUILDING BY RUNNING THEN DO SO DO NOT RUN IN A STRAIGHT LINE KEEP OBJECTS BETWEEN YOU AND THE SHOOTER AS COVER ONCE OUTSIDE DO NOT RUN IN A STRAIGHT LINE USE TREES AND VEHICLES AS COVER IF YOU CANNOT RUN OR HIDE YOU MAY CHOOSE TO PLAY DEAD IF THERE ARE OTHER VICTIMS AROUND YOU

  14. THE LAST OPTION THAT YOU HAVE IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUT IN THE OPEN MAY BE TO FIGHT BACK IF YOU ARE CAUGHT BY THE INTRUDER AND ARE NOT GOING TO FIGHT BACK, FOLLOW THEIR DIRECTIONS AND DO NOT LOOK THE PERSON IN THE EYES ONCE THE POLICE ARRIVE, OBEY ALL COMMANDS. THIS MAY INVOLVE BEING HANDCUFFED OR MADE TO PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR.
