To deploy to the Cloud, the next steps are to understand and define: • Monitoring - how is my app performing ? • Updates - What is the policy? • a) Updating app requires reconfiguring my app. • b) Rollback : update did not work, need to revert back. • c) rolling upgrades • Runtime configurations. Do we changes in external dependencies? • Auto scale out – scale in. What are the rules? • Chargeback. Who is going to be paying for it? We Get it, We want Cloud Architecture.What’s next ?

Once Requirements are Defined: • The selection process for Internal vs. Private vs. Public will be more clear • Most companies start with one method then adopt others for a blended approach • Business Strategy and IT Strategy come together • By defining the rules together, everyone is on the same page for a company wide win • Question your vendors for their roadmaps • This will assist you with ensuring that you are in step with where your providers are headed
