MODIS Leaf Area Index/Fraction of Photosynthetically Active Radiation • LAI : One sided green leaf area per unit ground area in broadleaf canopies and as the projected needle leaf area in coniferous canopies. • FPAR : Fraction of incident photosynthetically active radiation (0.4 - 0.7 m) absorbed the vegetation canopy.
