  4. Booster Club Forsyth County does NOT fund Athletics. - They do pay for any state transportation. We are responsible for but not limited too… • Uniforms – parkas, suits, caps, etc… • Transportation - $1.75 per mile and bus driver is $15 per hour • Hotels, food, and meet fees • Pool usage and meet entries Player Fees • $600 per swimmer • If you have a sibling the second or additional fee is half

Booster Club Payment of fees • Can be made online at: www.wfhsswim.com • Made via a secure pay pal link • Pay via credit card or bank card • Online fees will apply - $618.23 • covers a 2.9% + $.30 per transaction fee • Checks made out to West Forsyth Swim & Dive Booster Club • give to Coach Tillery • No CASH please Payment Deadlines • Fees must be paid in full by November 5th! • Communicate questions regarding fees with Coach Tillery • Notify Coach Tillery via email once you pay online. • If you have difficulty or need a payment plan see Coach Tillery.

Team Gear • Team TYR Bag • With team school logo and name • Team TYR Suit • Fittings at Cumming Aquatic Center Monday and Thursday from 4-7 • Team caps • Everyone receives two team latex caps • State qualifiers get TYR Dome Caps • Team apparel • T-shirt • Shorts (different style for boys & girls) • Issued Gear • Team TYR Parka • Will be taken up and inventoried each season! • Seniors will be allowed to purchase their parkas for $50!

Team Policies and Procedures Team Policies and Procedures • Meet Participation • Is MANDATORY! • Any missed meets should be communicated at a minimal two weeks prior to the meet • should be communicated to Coach Tillery directly. • Multiple missed meets can and will effect lettering for the season. • Swimming is a TEAM Sport! • Meet participation means you stay until the end. • Do not plan on leaving prior to a meet ending.

Team Policies and Procedures • Daily attendance • 6:00am – 7:15am at SWAT (Swim Atlanta) Midway Location • Athletes should ready to enter the water at 6am. • If you need extra time to get ready - arrive early. • SWAT will open between 5:45-5:50 daily. • Practice will end anywhere from 7:15am-7:25am each day. • Showers available at SWAT or WFHS locker rooms.

  9. Team Policies and Procedures • Lettering Policy • Qualify for the State Meet • Meet lettering qualifying times! • Any senior in good standing! • Coaches Discretion • All qualifications are subject to each athlete being in good standing with the team!

Team Paperwork! • Eligibility • Must be passing five of seven classes! • Move-ins fill out Form “B” • Semester Check • Grades checked Jan. 1 for eligibility! • Physicals • Forms must be on file and cleared before practice. • Physical, driving waiver, and concussion form complete. • Turn in forms to Mrs. Jordan • counseling office • Get clearance form to give to Coach Tillery.

Attendance • Timeliness • Five minutes early is on time and on time is late! • This will be a focus this year! • Attendance • MANDATORY! • Missing practice the week of a meet will result in missed events at meet. • More inclined to sit swimmers from individual events rather than relays. • Missing two days due to sickness deems an athlete not physically ready to perform. • Want/need healthy swimmers • trying to push through and swimming sick is not a good thing!

Attendance cont. • Club attendance • Attendance to club practice is mandatory • will be checked. • Other wise you should be at West practice. • Club Member Attendance Dates • 1 – Parent Meeting • Dec. 5th Pictures • Jan. 9th Pre-Wolverine Meet • Jan. 23rd Pre-County Meet • Jan. 30th Pre-State Meet • Feb. 5th Pre-State Meet

Attendance cont. • This is West Forsyth High School Swim • Look like a team! • Act like a team! • Year round or club swimmers aren’t any better, than those who swim the HS season only, or vice versa! • Anything to the contrary whether in actions or in words will not be tolerated. • No club gear/logo’s will be allowed on team trips or meets. • Wear WEST!

  15. Other Items • Parental needs • Volunteering • Online sign-up • We co-host two meets. • Helping with food at meets! • Show up to meets and cheering in West colors! • Ensure they get good rest • Help ensure they get good nutrition.

Important Dates Sept. 16   6:30pm     Parent/Athlete Meeting #1 Sept. 25   Noon        Registration deadline   (sizing for team orders will be submitted on this day) Sept. 29   6:15am     Open pool starts at SWAT M,W,F until October 20 Sept. 30  6:30pm      Parent/Athlete Meeting #2 Oct. 20    6:00am      Season Practice Officially Start

Other Items cont. • Stretching • Will not be doing as a team before practice or meets. • Shaving • Hundredths of a second count in swimming • Not mandatory • Don’t expect best results every week • Performance may not start where they left off last year. • Hydration and Nutrition are very IMPORTANT!

Program Vision • This year! • Become a team! • Be competitive each week! • Be disciplined! • Act like a family! • Qualify as many athletes for state as possible! • Finish as high as possible at the state meet! • Three to five years! • Become a program everyone wants to be a part of! • Start our own legacy! • Compete for a state title!
