  2. Birth and Death • Drake was born in 1540 and died in 1596. • He was born in a cottage. • He has 2 brothers and his fathers name was Edmund.

  3. The Beginning of His Travels • Sir Francis Drake started serving in a ship when he was 18. • At 24 He was made captain of the Judath. • When he was 23 He went slaving at voyage at Guinea in the west Africa.

  4. WHEN HE RETURNED • In 1570 he returned at the Spanish Main to get revenge on them. • He made himself a hated person at the Spanish Main. • When he arrived in Plymoth Harbor in 1577, he was rich and famous.

  5. Trip Around The World • In December of 1577 he set off for the Golden Hind on his trip around the world. • He turned northward and sailed up coast of Chile and Peru attacking the Spanish ships.

  6. When Drake Left England • Drake had left England with five ships and only his ship completed the trip. • He had past threw the Magellan , at the Southern tip and into Pacific ocean • He had sailed up the coast of South America and North America.
