  3. Issue Statement ACS (Traditional, One Code and Full Service) is an important tool for complying with Move Update requirements as well as best practices for address quality. In order to fully and effectively leverage these essential services, industry seeks to expand and enhance the data returned via ACS. * Developed from MTAC WG 121 Issues List

Recommendations • Discontinue “W” (Temporary Move) or provide at no charge. • For each mail class, “K” (MLNA) and “G” (BCNO) be treated as a NIXIE code rather than a COA. • Synchronize codes generated from CFS and PARS to provide consistent data. • When a new address resulting from a COA fails to DVP, a final address with DPV confirmed is provided.

  7. Recommendations • Nixie notifications should be processed through the COA database to identify an address change. • Expand the 45 day period for unique IMb to allow for “late arriving” ACS to be fulfilled as Full Service. • Improve / Add quality control verifications. Recommendation addresses 7 processes.
