Graduation Transitions 12 The 4 requirements for grade 12 students are: • Personal Health: • Submitting Daily Physical Activity • (DPA) logs each term • Community Connections: • Completing 30 hrs of Work Experience (career prep, part-time or summer jobs, volunteer work for a community organization or requesting a placement ) 3. Career and Life: Completing a Graduation Transition Plan 4. Student-led Interview Ms. Morabito/Ms. Neves

Challenge a Language 11/12 • Complete the package online • http://web.deltasd.bc.ca/content/schools/secondary/challengeexams • Attach a picture & $50.00 refundable deposit (non-refundable $155.00 for International students) • Exams are held Jan 25th or Jan 26th • DUE: OCTOBER 25, 2013 • Note: UBC does not accept Grade 12 • challenge marks for admission purposes Punjabi 11/12 Spanish 11/12 German 11/12 French 11/12 Korean 11/12 Mandarin11/12 Japanese 11/12

  6. Online/Coursework For UBC: Online courses must be completed by Feb 1st For grade 12 courses completed after semester one, grade 11 final marks will be used

Additional Requirements UBC English Language Admission Requirements • 3 years of study in English in Canada, or 70% on the provincial exam for an English 12; 6.5 IELTS/ 90 TOEFL, or final grade of 70% in English 11/12 English Language Proficiency Requirement • Registration in 1st Year English with an 80% interim mark or 75% final grade in English 12; or an essay score of 5 on the LPI (Language Proficiency Index)

Additional Requirements SFU English Language Requirement • 3 years of study in English in Canada, with a final blended grade of 60% in an English 12; 6.5 IELTS/ 88 TOEFL, English Literacy Requirement • 75% blended mark in English to register in W course English 12 with 60-74% will be admitted but within the first three semesters must: Complete FAL X99-4 with minimum grade C OR LPI with an essay score of 4 & 50% on other parts

Additional Requirements SFU Quantitative & Analytical Skills Requirement • Proficiency with 60% in Foundations of Math 11, • Precalculus 11 or Math 12 • 70% in Foundations of Math 11, Precalculus 11, or Math 12 to register in Q course Math 11/12 with 60-69% will be admitted but within first three semesters must: Complete FAN X99-4 with a minimum grade C OR Score 20/30 on Quantitative Placement Test

Post Secondary Testing Requirements LPI IELTS TOEFL Placement Tests SAT - Language Proficiency Index is required by many colleges and universities if you do not meet the English 12 proficiency requirement -International English Language Testing System required if schooling has not been in an English speaking environment for the last 3 or 4 years - generally required if schooling has not been in an English speaking environment for the last 3 or 4 years depending on institution - may be for specific institutions if the LPI has not been taken, i.e. Langara LET - required by most American colleges/universities and for SFU Athletics Teams
