  2. WHAT • Paper money was invented by the Song .Other then coins paper money was lighter and helped the Chinese manage their growing wealth.

  3. WHEN? • Paper money was first printed in AD 900’s and used for about 700 years in the Ming dynasty. • However so much money was printed that it lost value.

  4. IMPORTANCE • Paper money was much lighter & easier for the Chinese to handle. • Why are we learning about this? Because paper money is used today, we would love to learn about it! • The significance is that today money helps us with taxes and other recourses.
