  1. STYLITIS-10 …offers high performance data acquisition and control in a competitive price

  2. 1. MAIN FEATURES • 8 multi-function channels, which can be used as: - Measurement inputs: 1-2 Counter and 6-7 Analog channels (Ch8 can operate as both) - 7 digital inputs (the analog ones). - Control outputs (they change either manually or as a function of input values). • Sampling once per second. • Math statistics (Average, Min, Max, Sdv) recorded per interval (from 1 sec to 1 hour). • Recording in internal 4MB Flash memory. • Modbus and SDI-12 Interfaces. • 2 serial communication ports: 1 DTE (COMMUNICATION port) and 1 DCE (PERIPHERAL port). • Precision current (0.5 mA) and voltage (2.5 V) excitation outputs.

  3. 2. PHYSICAL FORM Stylitis-10 features: • Control • LCD screen and 4-button keyboard local, brief operation • Total control via our Opton software • Com Ports: 2 serial communication ports: 1 DTE and 1 DCE • ENCLOSURE: Plastic ABS, either Desktop or wall mounted • DIMENSIONS: 18 x 10 x 4cm, WEIGHT: 200g • INPUT CONNECTORS: Removable screw terminal strips on front panel

  4. 3. COMPATIBLE MEASUREMENTS AND SENSORS • Input channels supported: • Counters(type: SIN or TTL) • Analog Voltage Inputs (Various Gains, up to 0~2.5V sensors supported) • Analog Current Inputs (Various Gains, up to 0~50mA sensors supported) • Digital Bus (MODBUS RTU and SDI12) • Digital Inputs • Digital Outputs active low, for control of small relays, either changed manually or as a function of input values • Some indicative measurementsand related sensors are: • Wind Speed and Direction (Anemometers and Wind Vanes). • Temperature and Humidity (Thermometers, Hygrometers and Thermo-hygrometers) • Barometric Pressure (Barometers) • Solar Radiation (Pyranometers) • Water Depth and pH (Water Depth and pH sensors) • Active, Reactive and Apparent Energy and Power (Single phase and 3-phase Active Energy meters and 3-phase multifunction meters) • AC and DC Voltage and Current (3-phase multifunction meters and separate AC and DC Current and Voltage meters) …and many more

  5. 4. COMMUNICATION METHODS AND MODELS

  6. 5. PLAIN STYLITIS-10 • Locally RS-232 • Via Satellite RS-232 RS-232 • Via RF Modems. RS-232 RS-232 (Access one or more loggers without a SIM card within a limited distance-usually a few km) Stylitis-10 Iridium modem Iridium modem Stylitis-10 Radio Modem Stylitis-10 Radio Modem

  7. 6. STYLITIS-10 +GSM GSM Network • Via a GSM data call RS-232 • Via GPRS, using a cheap Dynamic IP SIM Card (via Symmetron’sDiameson Server) Virtual COM (Diameson Gateway is Symmetron’ssoftware server connecting all dynamic IP SIM devices) 3. Via GPRS, using a static IP SIM Card Virtual COM Stylitis-10+GSM GSM modem GPRS Network Diameson Gateway Internet Stylitis-10+GSM GPRS Network Internet Stylitis-10+GSM

  8. 7. STYLITIS-10 +ETHERNET/WIFI • Via Ethernet/WiFi (local network or a static IP internet connection) (An ADSL connection is required only for connections to the internet) • Via a dynamic IP internet connection (via Symmetron’sDiamesonServer) Static IP ADSL Router LAN/ internet Stylitis-10+ Ethernet/WiFi Dynamic IP ADSL Router Diameson Gateway Internet Stylitis-10+ Ethernet/WiFi

  9. 8. OPTON SOFTWARE Optonis Stylitis-10’s free operating software. Via Opton you can: • Create Site folders and Connections. Each datalogger has its unique folder, while multiple (different types of) connections can be created for the logger. The different connection types correspond to the communication methods, discussed before. • Modify its Setup: Channel parameters (they can be set manually or automatically, by selecting a specific sensor from Opton’ssensor library), recording interval, GPRS settings, SMS and Email settings, etc. • Optionally, receive SMSs and Emails. Receive the daily data file via Email. (Available in both the GSM and the Ethernet version). Receive SMSs (GSM version): the average channel values every interval or every day, an alarm if a control output changes state, or a PhotoVoltaic (PV) alarm indicating faulty operation in a solar plant with multiple inverters. • Alternatively, in dynamic IP GRPS connections (via Diameson server) and in the Ethernet version (also via Diameson), instead of SMS, data and alarms can be sent to a web database, Captum, to a specific user account and to this account’s email. Interval data and alarms can be plotted in Captum, alarms can be shown in a table, while data statistics are presented in bar graphs per hour, per day of the month, per day of the week and per month. • View the logger’s status: Instant parameters, such as the current file, the recording time remaining, etc. • View the instant channel values. • Enable/ disable data acquisition to create data files, stored in the 4MB memory. • Download data files, which are stored in the logger’s memory in compressed form. They are stored and decompressed automatically in the site folder, to be viewed via a text editor. Download the recent file (a new file begins) or one or more previous files at once. • View an Online plot of the channel values. All samples are plotted (every second). • Manage the downloaded data files offline: view the datachannels’ plot and statistics (the sameones presented in Captum), check the integrity of a folder’s files (check for missing or duplicate records or if the interval is the same for all files).

  10. 9. OPTON AND CAPTUM: SCREEN SHOTS Online plot Captum Statistics per weekday Tree-form setup for channel, etc parameters Data file statistics per hour

  11. 10. AUTOCONNECT SOFTWARE • As stated before, data files can be downloaded manually, via Opton, via any connection. • However, data download, along with other actions as well, can be preformed automatically, in a regular basis, via the additional free software AutoConnect. • The datalogger can perform a different action each weekday: • Download Data: All data files missing from the folder. • Download Status: Instant parameters, such as the current file, the recording time remaining, etc. • Download Current Values. Get the instant channel values. • The selected action of a weekday can be performed once a day at a specific selected time, or infinite connections can be made that weekday every as many minutes as you wish. • Besides editing the auto connections (like in Opton) via AutoConnect’s interface, you can: • View a list of all your automatic connections and execute one or more manually. • Check each connection’s latest status, ie if it succeeded, or failed and why. • View the date and time of last connection and last successful download for each one.

  12. 11. MAIN APPLICATIONS AND CONCLUSION Stylitis-10 could be used in: • Electrical Measurements. • Weather stations. • Wind energy assessment. • Solar plant monitoring and faulty operation detection via alarm. • Remote control of relays. • Fire prevention networks. …and many more Summing up, its main advantages are: • Combination of analog and digital bus channels in a competitive price. • Variety of communication methods. • Free operating and automatic connection software. • Combination of input channels with control outputs. • Portability, thanks to its small size. • Alarm and data SMS and data Emails sent to a specified recipient. • Data and alarms sent to a web database, accessed via your personal account.
