Testing Programs • Grade 2: CogAT/ITBS* • Grades 2-5: Performance Tasks Assessment* • Grades 3-8: PASS • Grades 3-8: MAP* • Grades 3-12: ELDA • Grades 3-12: SC-Alt • Grades 4, 8, & 12: NAEP • Middle & High School: EOC • High School: HSAP • High School: AP* *CogAT/ITBS and Performance Tasks Assessment are required if the school claims GT funding. *MAP is optional, contracted directly through NWEA. *AP testing is required if the school offers AP courses, even through the Virtual School Program.

  5. Who are your STCs? • Characteristics • Certified employee • Detail-oriented • Time investment, especially Spring • How many? • Minimum of TWO • More for greater than 1000 students • More if school includes middle and high school

  6. Test Security & Training • Security Agreements • Monitoring Visits • Violations • Reported to SCDE • Reported to SLED • Letters of Caution

  7. POWERSCHOOL Accurate Data is ESSENTIAL

Students with Disabilities • Must participate in state testing • The following accommodations must “match”: • Stated in IEP or 504 (Excent) • Received during regular instruction • Received during testing • Coded on answer document • Coded in PowerSchool • District schools have been cited for improper coding • Standard vs. non-standard (team decision) • Only route to accommodations is IEP or 504 • Exception: temporary conditions (broken bone, etc.) • Violation requires review by IEP or 504 team
