  1. Time Sheet Reminder For MS Windows Vista

  2. Simple Solution Use MS Windows Vista’s “Task Scheduler” application

  3. Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools--> Task Scheduler

  4. Double click on the “Add Task Scheduler” wizard button

  5. The “Task Scheduler” dialog box will appear • Under “Actions”, click on “Create Task…”

  6. The “Create Task” box will appear Enter “Time Sheet Reminder” as the name of the task Then, click the “Triggers” tab

  7. Click on the “New…” button

  8. The “New Trigger” dialog box will appear

  9. Under “Settings”, select “Weekly”

  10. Check the boxes for “Monday”, “Tuesday”, “Wednesday”, “Thursday” and “Friday”

  11. Set the “start” time for this “task” • Click the “OK” button

  12. At the “Create Task” dialog box, select the “Actions” tab • Click on the “New…” button

  13. The “New Action” dialog box will appear • Click on the “Browse…” button

  14. The “Open” dialog box appear • Use it to find “Internet Explorer” on your computer

  15. Click on “Computer”

  16. Click on the “Program Files” folder

  17. Click on the “Internet Explorer” folder

  18. Select “iexplore.exe” (the “Internet Explorer” executable) • Then click the “Open” button

  19. You should return to the “New Action” dialog box • As part of the “New Action”, you will need to “Add arguments”

  20. Add the following arguments to the “Add arguments” field: -new “http:\\mytime.stsci.edu” • Then, click the “OK” button

  21. You should return to the “Create Task” dialog box with a newly created action • Click the “OK” button

  22. For CSC folks • Substitute the following URL: http://mytime.stsci.edu with https://etes.csc.com/iTES/loginframe.htm

  23. Finally, exit out of the “Task Scheduler” application
