  2. The Events In Order • Munich Pact (1938): Britain and France let Germany keep territory if they promise to not take more • Non-Aggression Pact (August 1939): USSR and Germany will not attack each other • Invasion of France, Netherlands and Belgium (May 10, 1940): Germany on the offensive

  3. Here’s some more • France Surrenders (June 22, 1940) • Lend Lease Bill (March 11, 1941): Signed by U.S. as part of Arsenal of Democracy • Germany Invades USSR (June 22, 1941): Hitler breaks non-aggression pact and begins conquest of USSR

  4. More Events • Pearl Harbor (December 7, 1941): Japanese surprise attack on Am. Naval Base • Stalingrad (August 21, 1942): One of the largest battles between USSR & Germany. Turning Point for Eastern Front • Operation Torch (November 8, 1942): Allied Invasion of North Africa • Italy Surrenders ( September 3, 1942): 2 months after Mussolini is deposed
