  3. Data that can be put on the GeoWall • Stereo-pair images and video • Surface topography with/without imagery • Object models • Molecular/mineral structures • Confocal microscopy • Volumetric data • CT data • Velocity data • Time series • In short, anything

Paths to the GeoWall • Stereo capable software • ArcScene, CrystalMaker, GEON IDV, VMD, Chime & Jmol • GeoWall software • Wallview, Immersaview, Walkabout • Free tools to create files for GeoWall apps • 3DEM, MICRODEM • Common software to create files • PhotoShop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver • Visualization Toolkit (VTK) • www.vtk.org

VTK • Free open source visualization package • Works on Mac, Windows and all flavors of Unix • Object oriented programming model • Programmable in C++, Tcl/Tk, Java, Python • Stereo display on clone mode capable GeoWalls • Can output VRML models, stereo images and image sequences for creating stereo video • Not just for making GeoWall content
