  2. Definition Of A Missionary A missionary is someone who sacrifices everything but the Gospel, for the sake of the Gospel.

  3. Who Are The Missionaries? • Who did Jesus send on His mission? John 20:21 “As the Father has sentme, I am sending you.” • Who was given The Great Commission? Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”

Who Are The Missionaries? • 1 Corinthians 11:1 “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.” • What things was Paul encouraging us to imitate? • Read the context • 1 Corinthians 10:33 “Just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.” • If I follow Paul’s example…I am a Missionary.

What If We Thought of Our Missionaries As Our Examples? • 1 Timothy 4:12 Be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. • We should appreciate, pray for and support our missionaries who have given their lives to reach others. • We should also see them as setting an example for others to follow. • I am a missionary too
