Deliverable 1 Economic & Social Database (Submission: Month 13, May 30, 2006) • Provide economic and social data to WP 1 for incorporation into the INCOFISH Project Db. • Identification of coastal stakeholders (Ratana et. al.) • Market data (Rashid et. al.); • Non-market data (Abbie et. al.); • Social data (Ratana et. al – employment, distribution of benefits, gender considerations); • Institutional data (Claire et. al.) • N.B. Moenieba and Kevin to contribute to all efforts in collection and analysis of data

  3. Deliverable 2Ecosystem valuesSubmission: Month 19, Nov. 30, 2006 • Market (Rashid et al.; Kevin) • Fishery values; • Tourism values. • Non-market • Meta-analysis of available valuation results in the literature (Abbie & Rashid et al.); • Damage schedule approach (Ratana et al. & Moenieba).

  4. Deliverable 2 (cont’d) • Habitat-fishery interactions and values Claire et al.); • Discounting & future generation values (Rashid et al.); • Use of ecosystem models to explore consequences of ineffective management (Rashid et al.)

Deliverable 3Analysis of ineffective management: Indicators (Submission: Month 25, May 30, 2007) • Examples of socio-economic indicators of ineffective mgt (in coll. with WP 7): • Poverty index (Rashid and Abbie); • Subsidy index (Rashid et al.) ; • Overcapacity index – (Claire et al. & Rashid); • Political sensitivity index – (Abbie); • Stakeholder participation index (Ratana & Claire).

  6. Deliverable 4: Policy options ALL team members (Submission: Month 31, Nov. 30, 2007) • Each project team member will contribute at least one policy option derived from the results of their work on this project. • These will be compiled into a report by the WP leader and reviewed by all.

  7. Deliverable 5: Final Report ALL team members (Submission: Month 34, Feb. 28, 2008) • Each project team member will write up his/her contribution to the report, to be compiled by WP leader, and reviewed by all members before submission.

  8. Deliverable 6: Scientific papers Potential papers(Submission: Month 34, Feb. 28, 2008) • Values from marine ecosystems; • Habitat-fishery interactions and values; • Discounting & future generation values; • Ecosystem models that explore the consequences of ineffective management; • Socio-economic indicators; • Policy paper.
