  1. Our Advert Proposal By Lucy Buckley, Ellie Gardiner and Rosie Tetu

  2. The Product • The product we have chosen to advertise is Cadburys Bournville chocolate. • We have chose to advertise this because we were interested in the baking and food industry. Bournville chocolate is dark chocolate, which is often used in baking. • Another reason we decided to advertise Bournville chocolate was because the chocolate industry is very book, however Bournville chocolate is one of more unappreciated forms of Cadburys chocolate. • I believe chocolate can be aimed at all audiences, young and old and both boys and girls. Therefore it would be easy to advertise then something specifically aimed at a certain age group or gender.

  3. Ideologies • Healthier than normal chocolate • Low Calories • Full of energy • Can be used for baking • inexpensive • High in vitamins and minerals

  4. Target Audience – • Woman and men interested in baking • Athletes/teenagers interested in an energy boost • Younger kids. • It could be advertised around Easter/Valentines Day/Christmas in order to meet a big market and make a bigger profit. • Some chocolate’s such as Yorkie bars, are aimed more at one gender, as their slogan as ‘not for girls.’ however Bournville chocolate has no specific target gender audience.

  5. Persuasive Techniques • One of the adverts show’s a teenager extremely active after eating some Bournville Chocolate. She is so active she plays guitar dramatically whilst running around the kitchen. This would persuade the viewer into believing the advert is healthy and full of energy. • The use of positive describing words such as delicious and scrummy are used repeatedly throughout the advert. Positive describing words help convince the viewer to purchase and consume the chocolate.

  6. Our Final Proposal • Our final proposal is to produce 3 Cadburys Bournville adverts. The first will be aimed more at the baking market and people interested in baking and cooking. We will have an elderly woman bake a set of brownies using Bournville Chocolate and the recipe she got from Cadburys.co.uk. • Our second advert wiill be a typical 1960’s housewife in the kitchen, drinking Bournville Hot chocolate. This is aimed more at the family/mother audience. • Our final advert will be a teenager struggling to get through work but after eating a bar of cadburysbournville chocolate she feels a lot better and full of energy. This is aimed at teenagers and people that work a lot that might need an energy boost to wake themselves up.
