  3. HOW DID YOU DO AT AS • ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR GRADE • WERE YOU PLEASED WITH YOUR TWO PROJECTS • WHAT CHANGES WOULD YOU MAKE • Discuss for 5 minutes with your person sitting next to you

  4. WHAT HAS THE EXAMINER SAID • The grade boundaries went up this year and so it became harder to get a top grade • The use of weeblyas a tool for recording is good but he felt that there was not enough documentation of experimentation and development. This must be addressed for future years.

A2 CRITERIA • At A2 a new section isadded to the assessment matrix,it is titled FLUENT. • At AS the top section is confident if you got an A at AS it would probably be a B at A2. • This means that to simple stay on your AS grade you have to work harder than at AS to improve it you have to work much harder

  6. THE ASSESSMENT OBJECTIVES • AO1 -DEVELOP • A02 - EXPERIMENT • A03 - RECORD • A04 - REALISE • AO1 and AO2 arethe area’s that need to be improved.

  7. AS MARKS • UNIT 1 – 30% • Unit 2 – 20% • A2 Marks • Unit 3– 30% • Unit 4 – 20% • Unit 3 is made up of two parts your personal study and your practical response.

  8. CURATORSHIP ASSIGNMENT Objective To gain an understanding of contextual themes in photography and be able to make connections between other artists work and your own Outcome To have produced a comprehensive study that shows in-depth subject knowledge and contextual research.

  9. CURATORSHIP ASSIGNMENT BRIEF • Imagine yourself as a curator, someone who is in charge of designing an exhibition. We want you to put together a presentation that demonstrates an understanding of photographers work and their themes. TASK • Choose a theme for your exhibition and write a rationale explaining your intentions and the photographers you will be using. • You must choose a minimum of three photographers one can be yourself as long as the work fits the theme. • Analyse in full the work of the photographers that you have chosen making sure to demonstrate clear contextual vocabulary. Considerations • How will you categorise your exhibition, chronologically (time based) thematic or issue-based.
