  3. Competency-Based Curricula • Connect the competencies to each course and note related competencies on the syllabi.

  4. Practicum Training • Plan and document sequential experiences, activities, and competencies.

  5. Seeking MCAC Accreditation • MCAC accreditation is an opportunity for Counseling Psychology to have a voice in the future of training master’s level practitioners.

  6. Integrating Science & Practice • Show sincere interest in students’ scholarly ideas, support student autonomy, and link science to what students care about practically.

  7. Recruitment/Marketing • Present (web, social media) and assess related to key dimensions of your program (e.g., focus, values, expertise, activities).

  8. Self-Care • Start small.

  9. Business • Get your students involved in SAS, SCP, & APA—connect & communicate. • Counseling Psychology Competencies. • Mental Health Recovery Training.
