  11. 2012 Mid Season Clinic Dribbled Ball • Rule 5 – 6 Dribbled Ball (pg 34) • (c) If a dribbled ball is touched by an offside player: • Penalty: Award ball to the opponent at point of touch, or option. • If touch is in opponents EZ • Penalty: Award ball to opponent at their 20 yd line, or option • If touch is in own EZ • Penalty: Accept a score of 1 or 2 points as applicable, or take possession of the ball as 1st down at PLS or 10 yd line whichever is closer to the opponents EZ • Note: If the touching by an offside player occurs on the last play of half, the opponent may elect to extend by one more play, from point of touch. • Note: A ball dribbled by Team A across the LOS does not interrupt the continuity of downs • Note: A dribbled ball that strikes a GL shall remain alive Dribbled ball & the Off Side Pass

Ball may be recovered legally by the defending team – next scrimmage at POP downs continued (unless 1st down). Dribbled ball & the Off Side Pass

Team A makes Offside pass in its EZ, and retains possession, • Team B 2 points or option • 2.Team B makes Offside pass in its own EZ and retains possession • After receiving a Team A kick, • Team A shall be awarded 1 point or option • While intercepting (or after intercepting a Team A FP), • Team B scrimmage at any point on or between hash marks on its • own 20 yd line, or at PBD (Team A option). No score Dribbled ball & the Off Side Pass

If the ball is fumbled by Team A from EZ to OB in FOP without touching an opponent: • 1.2D Team B choice: 2 points, or Allow Team A to scrimmage on hash • at OB spot, DC • 3D 2 points, or 1st down for B on hash mark at OB spot • NOTE: A fumble from EZ to OB in FOP, when the ball does not touch an opponent, is an Offside Pass in the EZ, since the Point of termination is closer to the opponent’s dead line than the POP Dribbled ball & the Off Side Pass
