  1. Course Finder A tool to help manage Request Logs effectively

  2. The link You will access this tool from the Registrar’s Homepage www.registrar.clemson.edu You will then click on “CRSMweb Course Finder”

  3. Login • The login information you use in the mainframe will give you the access you need in the Course Finder • Unlike CRSMweb Final Grade Entry, you CAN be logged in to the mainframe as well as this application

  4. Your Options Option 1 Working with request logs Option 2 Working with a specific student The timeframe to access a term in the Course Finder is directly related to the dates you are able to drop/add students in CRSM. Your access is limited to your rubrics. If you don’t know a student’s CUID, you may look it up by typing their userid in the CUID box and click “CUID Look Up” If you have questions, email us here.

  5. Option 1: Working with Request Logs • Enter the term from which you are working • Select your rubric from the drop-down menu • Click “Get Courses”

  6. Option 1: Working with Request Logs, cont. • Select a specific course • The total number of students on each log • Selecting “…Activity Log” will display all of the activity for this rubric; a “what’s been done” and “who’s done it” display. The activities include drop/add, restoring names to the log, etc. Both name and CUID are displayed • This time/date stamp shows you when the information was current. You will want to “Refresh this Display” after a period of time.

  7. Option 1: Working with Request Logs, cont. Sections available that fit the student’s schedule “Notes” determines why other sections of the course didn’t fit the student’s schedule Section student requested “Drop” the student from the Request Log Cumulative GPR Academic Class “Email” the student Major Code NOTE: The sections displayed have available seats (based on room capacity) and do not conflict with the student's schedule or with section Major/Minor/GPR restrictions.

  8. Student Information • If you select a student’s name on the Student/Section Assignment screen, it will give you this information which includes the student’s current schedule

  9. Section Information • If you choose one of the available sections listed, you will see this. The restrictions on the course in CRSM (GPA, Major/Minor requirements, reserved seating, etc.) will also be displayed. Furthermore, it will prevent you from adding students based on these restrictions.

  10. Dropping students from the Request Log • In order to keep the logs organized, you can drop or delete students from them by clicking on “Drop” in the “Action” column. • This box will appear asking you to confirm the drop. • After the drop is complete, you may click on the “Refresh this Display” button to update the list. • The Course Finder will only display 32 requests. As you drop students whose requests are unable to be filled, the student in the “33rd spot” will move to the “32nd” and now be displayed.

  11. “Alter Display Options” • The default setting is to view section availability based on room capacity. You may change this default by clicking “alter display options”. • This box will appear. It gives you the option to view sections based on room capacity, department capacity or room capacity with sections flagged if there are seats within the department capacity.
