  3. Our web presence continues, and now includes

  4. A Facebook page.

  5. We ran “tastes of” various crafts....

  6. Auspiced a Bacchus Marsh Exhibition:

  7. January: Helen introduced us to Limestone Carving

  8. Train Art – many Wombat entries And a Wombat’s brilliant idea – thanks Michele!

  9. February: Autumn FestivalScouts’n’Cubs made the haybale people!

  10. March: Ballan Autumn Festival Parade marshalls again, and a Fashion Show! Deb McLeod designed the poster

  11. Sept/Oct: 2 workshops for Moorabool Library’s School Holiday Program, designing T-SHIRT art with all comers

  12. Ballan Arts Project was highly successful at increasing arts participation in Moorabool. It tapped into many people’s arty energy; the contact list, and range of ideas, is impressive. The funding ended June 2014, but the workshops keep going.... Now completely under Wombat’s wing.

  13. Wild Wood Furniture #2 & #3: We continued without Greg Hatton – he was so good, we did it splendidly!

  14. Live Willow Weaving One Wildwood Chair went home and was planted– anchored to the ground with tent pegs, and watered – which GREW. This inspired a some interesting research, tutor-finding, and constructions. First we found some random weavers...

  15. Random Weaving: Jodie Goldring & Anne Newton A fantastic day; lots of new people! 6 keen to do live willow..

  16. Live Willow Weaving Can do it with 8 year olds, too.. Easy! Thanks to Jodie and Anne

  17. Glass Fusing Five Wombats went to Point Lonsdale for a David Hobday Workshop; Helen’s piece (right) and more (below). Robert McLaren’s kiln may be suitable...TBA

  18. BookBinding Margaret Healey showing us what she learned at a Bendigo Bookbinding day – A pre - Christmas workshop to follow in Ballan.

  19. Lou, Chris & Will’s Caravan Park Contributions

  20. Felting: Anita Larkin Fibre Arts Australia run wonderful workshops in Ballarat every Easter and June. We now realise that many tutors would love an extra day or two in Ballan after their big gig is over.. Anita was FANTASTIC!

  21. Dry Stone Walling With Michael Salisbury, Springbank

  22. Silver (copper) smithing A third session is running – continuing some Fridays in term time at Ballan Primary School Art Room. Talk to Kellie.

  24. Inspiration Picnic Artists’ Dinner Group - we have morphed seamlessly into an ongoing Exhibiting group of Wombat Artists

  25. Well supported by Wombats!
