Websters Dictionary defines context as: (1) the parts of a written or spoken statement that precede or follow a specific word or passage, usually influencing its meaning or effect: (2) the set of circumstances or facts that surround a particular event, situation, etc When you take something out of its context, you can get the entirely wrong understanding of what is being said....it happens all the time in our lives

Follow train of thought How do we determine the context? Warning - NIV changes the sentence and paragraph structure from the original languages.
