  2. About us • Delhi Maritime Academy was setup with a mission to prepare efficient resources for the shipping industry. It has a world class infrastructure that enables the student taking admission to have the right exposure required for the shipping industry and is the best maritime training institute. • It is associated with the DG Shipping College and has centers in Mumbai, Pune, Pondicherry, Goa, Chennai, Vishakhapatnam, Cochin, Mangalore Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru.

  3. Courses B.Tech Marine Engineering GP Rating BSc Nautical Science Course Diploma in Nautical Science

B.Tech Marine Engineering • A Marine Engineer is responsible for maintaining the complex machineries housed by a contemporary ship. • Once the candidate completes the 4 years B.Tech Marine Engineering course by clearing the four modules, the student becomes a junior engineer and is appointed as the same on a ship. • Graduates with B.Tech Marine Engineering stand chances of making a variety of career options and jobs in marine facilities, warehousing and logistics sector, shipping industry, shipyards, marine engineering service etc.

  5. GP Rating • GP rating course is approved by the DG of Shipping, Mumbai which falls under Govt. of India. GP Rating is a 6 months program. It was because of the constant request from the Shipping Industry. • The cadets undergoing GP rating course are made to go through a Pre Sea Training program, post which he or she join as a Rating in the shipping companies and serve as an Engine or Deck Crew.

  6. BSc Nautical Science Course • B.SC Nautical Science course is a full time 3 Years residential course. It is approved by the DG of Shipping, Mumbai which falls under Govt. of India. • The course is divided into 6 semesters, each lasting 6 months. Once the candidates complete the course, they are required to undergo one year long sea service.

  7. Diploma in Nautical Science • Diploma in Nautical Science is a full time 1 Years residential course.It is approved by the DG of Shipping, Mumbai which falls under Govt. of India. Also known as DNS course, it is divided into 2 semesters. There are many options for taking up diploma in nautical science colleges, but the trick is to choose the best one for you. • Diploma in marine engineering is a job oriented course that will help one build a career in Merchant Navy.
