Completed Construction Projects Completed Construction Projects LAC Central Plant – Measure E 2002 • Central Plant equipment, Public Safety, & Field House for Athletics • Final FF&E installation underway • Plant ready for operation and awaiting completion of LRC & SQC • Construction Complete • Anticipated startup 12/05/08

Completed Construction Projects Building Q and R Roof Replacement Measure E 2008 • Construction completed • Replaced existing roof with modified bitumen roof system. • Existing skylights were removed and installed new skylights. All broken tiles were replaced on all perimeter edging of both buildings.

Completed Construction Projects Building P Faculty Restroom Upgrade Measure E 2008 • Provides two new ADA compliant restrooms in lieu of the existing staff restrooms. • Installation of new wall and framing, redesign layout, finishes, fixtures and doors. • New fixtures and restroom accessories have been installed throughout. Finishes will match existing building décor.

Current and UpcomingConstruction Projects LAC Building O Complex – Measure E 2008 • Property acquired December 2008 • Two structures totaling 87,000 square feet • Potential occupants to be ACIT, District Warehouse Facility, ERD, and Foundation Office • Warehouse temporarily located in building 2 • Foundation Offices under Design Development

Current and UpcomingConstruction Projects LAC Infrastructure Improvement Projects Measure E 2008 • Planning underway with engineers • 75% of Design Phase completed • Completes chilled water lines to North side of campus • Includes other major utility upgrades; Reclaimed Water, Domestic Water, Data, etc. • Existing building HVAC systems to be upgraded in synch with infrastructure improvements • Coordinated with modernization, quick start projects, and Master Landscape Project

  13. Current and UpcomingConstruction Projects LAC Q & R ADA/HVAC - Measure E 2008 • Whole building ADA upgrade: includes restrooms, stairlift (Bldg. R) • All new infrastructure: new piping, etc. (Bldg. R) • Minor renovations to offices (Bldg. R) • Total renovations of locker/training room (Bldg. R) • HVAC upgrade: includes new air handlers, ductwork, etc. (Bldg. Q & R) • Update fire alarm system (Bldg. Q & R) • Construction will be done in phases so as to minimize disruption of classes • Final construction documents to be submitted to DSA May 2009 • Estimated start of construction Spring 2010

Current and UpcomingConstruction Projects PCC Industrial Technology Center Phase 1 Measure E 2002 • Modern facility houses Welding Department and other trade programs • Construction is 60% complete • Replaces existing antiquated structures • New Northern face of the campus • Completion anticipated late summer 2009

Current and UpcomingConstruction Projects PCC MDAB (Multi-Disciplinary Academic Building) Measure E 2002 • 90% construction documents submitted • Swing space planning completed 9/2008, construction of swing space starts Summer 2009 • Anticipated start of MDAB construction Fall 2009 • To be completed in two phases

Current and UpcomingConstruction Projects PCC Building CC Retrofit - Measure E 2008 • To be designed by Hill Partnership Architects • Houses the Fitness Center, Gymnasium, Weight Room, and Faculty and Staff Offices • Swing space to be located on PCC Campus (Bldg. FF) • To be completed concurrently with MDAB project • Anticipated start of construction Spring 2010

  17. Current and UpcomingConstruction Projects District Wide – Master Landscape Plan Measure E 2008 • Planning completed December 2008 • Plan to be implemented concurrently as each Bond construction project finalizes • Designed for long term sustainability of campus and neighborhood

Current and UpcomingConstruction Projects District Wide Energy Retrofits - Measure E 2008 • Phase 1 – Construction of Central Plants • The chillers at the Central Plants were selected to achieve maximum efficiencies both at part load and full load conditions. The plant not only reduces the peak electrical demand at the campus but also offers lower emissions thus reducing the impact on the environment. Received rebates from Southern California Edison • LAC Central Plant • Designed to have (2) 600 ton centrifugal chillers and (1) 300 ton chiller with space for a future 600 ton chiller. The Central Plant is designed to serve most of the existing buildings and all the new buildings at the campus.   • PCC Central Plant • Designed to have (2) 300 ton centrifugal chillers and (1) 300 ton multi-stack chiller. The Central Plant is designed to serve most of the existing buildings and approximately three new buildings at the campus.

(Done) • Replace elevator controls to bring them up to new current standards. (In process) • Installation of new automated front door. (Awaiting structural calculations) • Expansion of Building I (In Design Phase) • Bookstore to be relocated here • Relocate Bond Management Team Offices to O Building Complex and removal of W trailers (December 2009) • Increase parking at Faculty and Lew Davis St. • PCC • MM (FPP) • Exterior renovation (In Process) • Paint, windows, replacement of all exterior doors • Restroom ADA upgrade (In Process)
