  3. West Fork Middle School Home of the Warhawks Words to Know • Proficient means the combined percentage of students who scored at or above the 41st national percentile on the ITBS/ITED • Percentile rank of 41 means the score was greater than or equal to 41% of the students taking the test

  4. West Fork Middle School Home of the Warhawks Reading Progress • Annual Goal for 2008-2009: By the end of the 2008-2009 school year, the percentage of scores at or above the district level of proficiency for the class of 2013 (08-09: 8th grade) will increase by 10% in Reading Comprehension as measured by the Iowa Tests. To meet this goal, the class of 2013 must score at 62.6% proficient or higher.

West Fork Middle School Home of the Warhawks Math Progress Annual Goal for 2008-2009: By the end of the 2008-2009 school year, the percentage of scores at or above the district level of proficiency for the class of 2013 (08-09: 8th grade) will increase by 6% in math as measured by the ITED test. To meet this goal, the class of 2013 must score at 70.3% proficient or higher.

West Fork Middle School Home of the Warhawks Science Progress Annual Goal for 2008-2009: By the end of the 2008-2009 school year, 75% of the students in the class of 2013 will be performing at or above the district standards as measured by the Iowa Tests in the science sub-test as compared to their 2007-2008 scores in 7th grade on the Iowa Tests (70.8%).
