  4. Building Knowledge of the Field • Teacher gives explanations to the students about how to show the direction and how to read the time.

  5. Modeling of Text Teacher shows some dialogues to the students, teacher reads the dialogues and students repeat them. Example : • Excuse me. Is there a toilet here? Yes, there is. Behind that room. • Where is the National Park? Go straight, then turn left.

  6. What Time is It? It’s 3 o’clock It’s a half past three It’s 7 o’clock It’s a half past one It’s a half past five It’s eight o’clock

  8. How to Show The Direction

  9. A : Excuse me, would you please tell me where the National Park is? B : Go straight about 200 meters, then in the second crossroad, turn left. A : Thanks a lot. A : Where is the school? B : Go straight, and turn right. A : Where is the rail station? B : Go straight, and turn right, before the school.

  10. Join Construction of Text Activity 1 Practice the dialogue with your pair! Timmy : Rita, could you help me? Rita : Sure. Timmy : Hold the rabbit for me, please! Rita : Okay. But how? Timmy : Hold its ears. Like this. Rita : Wow! Let me try. Timmy : Here it is.

Use the following cues to practice the dialogues above. • Handicraft Center – go straight – in the corner • TuguMuda Monument – go straight – about 100 meters • Main Central Building – go straight – turn left • LawangSewu – right here • Oxford University – go straight – about 1 kilometer – turn right
