  3. With 1 ton ofrecycled paper , we can save : › 12 trees › 31,8 m3water › 4.1 MW power › 280 litre of crude oil Yearly the woodland of the world decreases by 13 million hectare , that is equal to the size of Hungary one and a half time .

In order to reduce the timber mining -> new qualified forests were introduced Prize : FSC - Forest Stewardship Council › This prize is given to those who pay attention to the environmental and social impacts in farming. FSC: it was set up in 1993 by conservation companies , timber industry companies and local communities. In Hungary 140.000 h were classified by FSC.

  6. The timber mining and trade is typical for developing countries : Amazonas, South-East Asia, Russia. ›The quantity of cut of timber , exceeds the revival ability of forests. › Agricultural territory and plantation were created in place of exterminated tropical forests.

  7. EU: FLEGT > Forest Law Enforcement Governance and Trade The aim : > push out the limbers which originate from illegal sources from the market of the EU.

  8. Production of paper in Hungary : > the benefit has decreased, > the price of wood pulp has increased The demand of paper is increasing because of: > theelectronic communication > digital typography

  9. The printing of books is reduced , while the demand for : > catalogues > magazines > commercial printed materials is increased!

  10. In Hungary the biggest demand is for : > packaging materials, > cardboards, > paper bags.
