  2. Objectives for Group 2 • Describe technical interactions with SLD for benefit of potential partner countries • Discuss partner country experiences • Exchange lessons learned • Scanning, training, container jurisdiction, etc. • Thoughts for potential partner countries on what to expect

  3. SLD Scanning Implementation • Partnership goal is to scan as many containers as possible with minimal impact on container cargo operations • Must take into account radiation detection capabilities and limitations • Alarm response plan is also critical

  4. Challenges / Lessons Learned • Interactions with Critical and Affected Organizations • Value of a written internal agreement • Key experiences • How to improve • Technical and Inspection Challenges • Well planned? Minimally disruptive? • How to improve • Training • How to improve delivery and effectiveness • System Operation • Key experiences – detailed inspections, etc.
