  1. APAMSA Region IV Conference • Date: Feb. 23 • Description: Rush’s APAMSA chapter hosted the annual regional conference for APAMSA chapters in the Midwest region. Over 50 students attended from ten different medical schools. The theme of the conference was “Community Engagement” featuring speakers Dr. Karen Kim, Dr. Daniel Wu, and Dr. Tran, all physicians who work extensively in the community. The all-day conference also featured presentations from each APAMSA chapter on how they are engaging in their communities, an interactive community engagement workshop, and presentations from St. James Food Pantry, the U.S. Navy, and Dr. Hong Liu with the Hep. B Coalition.
