LPNT CONCEPTION “A Science Park is an organization managed by specialized professionals,whose main aim is to increase the wealth of its community by promoting the culture of innovation and the competitiveness of its associated businesses and knowledge-based institutions.” (The International Association of Science Parks (IASP), 2002). The university is the knowledge source, the market is the ocean where thatknowledge disembogues, and Science and Technology Parks are the rivers that carry the knowledge flow from its source to the ocean. INFRASTRUCTURE  Science and Technology Park of Lublin Region: a joint-stock company, set up in 2005.  The Companyowns 4ha of land, 2 storey complex of furnished buildings comprising of laboratory and research area,office rooms/facilities, total area over 10,000 sq. m (together with the accompanying area). The location is very attractive, situated in Eastern part of Lublin (Felin District).  The Company owns and manages 2,500 sq.m building where many companies have their headquarters as well as universities have their units.

Tenants at our ParkLABORATORY SPACE • Branch: Medicine R&D Laboratory of Genetic Investigations Sp. z o.o. • Laboratory of Genetic Investigations Sp. z o.o. was founded for the purpose of introduction of new methods and investigation of new ideas in cancer cell biology • Hitherto the scope of Laboratory’s activity includes: • examination of karyotypes (in the cases of infertility and spontaneous abortions) including all banding techniques • examination of dysmorphic syndromes, • determination of immunophenotypes of normal and neoplasticcells

Science2Business – the Poland's biggest innovation incubator "Od pomysłu do przemysłu” (From Idea to Industry) – the Poland's biggest innovation incubator, Science2Business, helps Polish scientists, engineers and founders to commercialize their ideas, protect intellectual property, and to build companies, which are to derive profits from innovations. The companies established with the incubator may expect experts' support, a base for tests and research and a subsidy amounting up to 200 thousand EUR. Science2Business operates in very prospective branches: biotechnology (and telemedicine), renewable energy, information and mobile technology. The innovation incubator, Science2Business, operates thanks to the EU subsidy under the Innovative Economy Operational Program for 2007-2013. Founders from all over the country may apply to the incubator.

Science2Business – the Poland's biggest innovation incubator Science2Business directly co-operates with the Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer of the Lublin Science and Technology Park; the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), Warsaw University of Technology and with the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn – Science2Business fills in the so-called capital gap. It is the first, the most essential, link in the chain of financing "from idea to industry". The goal is to prove that innovative solutions and profits from their commercialization may remain in Poland instead of leaving the country to be given away for a fraction of their real value. The incubator's role is to prompt a wide group of scientists, engineers and founders, and also business representatives, to develop innovative technologies and build profitable companies on their basis.

Science2Business – the Poland's biggest innovation incubator The support offered by Science2Business to the scientists and founders includes evaluation of possibility of their ideas commercialization and of their market potential, and also intellectual and industrial property protection. The authors of innovations have an access to the infrastructure necessary to conduct tests and prototyping and to a group of experts in respective branches. Considerable support is also provided under the strategy of commercialization and implementation of respective projects, which is developed within the incubator, and the resulting support in creating and managing companies which introduce innovations to the market. The companies established based on ideas put forward to the incubator have a chance to obtain a subsidy amounting up to 200 thousand EUR and assistance in obtaining further funds.
