  4. Mayan Civilization – Artisans • Agriculture allowed for the development of the culture • Mayans cultivated: • Corn – Cocoa • Beans – Chili peppers • Squash – Cotton • Pottery was made • Textiles were also produced by dyeing and weaving cotton
