  1. Top Things to Do in Helsinki in the Evening Top Things to Do in Helsinki in the Evening Helsinki has a lot to offer during the day, but at night the city comes alive. You’ll find plenty of things to do when you’re spending the evening in Finland’s capital. Here are some of the top things to do in Helsinki after dinner.

  2. Visit Finlandia Hall To Watch A Concert: Finlandia Hall—designed by Alvar Aalto and one of the most recognizable buildings in Helsinki—is one of the city’s premier venues. It’s a popular place for concerts, dance shows, stand-up comedy shows, conferences and other events. Because it’s a fully seated venue, you won’t find heavy metal or pulsating electronic music shows on the bill there. But almost everything else is welcome!

  3. Finland’s National Theater (Suomenkansallisteatteri) is the country’s premier venue for Finnish-language entertainment. Its plays are popular around the country, and are considered must-see productions by theatergoers. The varied program of performances includes classic works and works for sophisticated audiences, as well as shows appropriate for all ages.

  4. Have Fun At Salmisaari Sports Centre: The great Salmisaari Sports Centre (Salmisaarenliikuntakeskus) offers plenty of opportunities to have fun in groups and as couples. There’s a huge range of things to do: sport halls, a gym, trampoliningcentre, climbing walls, dance school, laser tag centre, an entertainment centre with over 10 simulators and table games, an indoor beach bar and soft play area for kids.

  5. Relax At Storyville Restaurant: Storyville is a jazz club in the centre of Helsinki. It’s a relaxed place where you can enjoy drinks, food and music in different atmospheres. The club is open during the summer, when the outdoor terrace is at its best: there’s live music on warm summer nights and the atmosphere is relaxed. During colder times of year, only the downstairs rooms are open: there’s still live music in the evenings and a full selection of Finnish delicacies and drinks to enjoy.

  6. Skate Under the Stars: In Helsinki, the Ice Park skating rink is a fun place to skate at in the wintertime. It’s right in the middle of the city, so it’s an active, exciting way to be in the middle of all of Helsinki’s hustle and bustle while still being able to see some of the city’s most popular attractions.
